I tied my hair in a ponytail as I searched on the internet on how to cook Chicken Manchurian. I was inside his suite, Adrien said he's going to take a bath first so I decided to do my job, which is to cook for him. After all, the best way to get a man's heart is through his stomach.
"Well, this one's easy." I uttered as I prepare all the ingredients and tools I needed, good thing the chicken needs to be fried, I am the best when it comes to frying chickens, it was a self-proclaimed though.
I minced the chicken thoroughly before I marinate it, shaping it as a ball before I deep fried it. As I wait for the chicken to turn golden brown, I cook fried rice as well because it is said to be best with fried rice, why not try it to see if it's true.
I was to pre occupied with the fried rice that I forgot about the chicken, I just realized that I'm trying to do multiple jobs at once when I smelled the burned chicken on the frying pan. I instantly took it and placed it to the kitchen sink.
"That's the only chicken inside the fridge..." I said, the disappointment was visible on my words, I shouldn't have tried to do everything at once, "I just hope that there's still something that is edible in this fridge." I uttered.
I couldn't look at him, especially when he went out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel that seems to be lazily clasped on his hips, but aside from that, I was embarrassed because of what I've cooked for the dinner.
Adrien went beside me after he wore a sweatpants, on his right shoulder was his shirt, he looked over the table, I gulped when I felt his intense gaze towards me.
"What are you trying to feed me? Breakfast?" He asked, hung my head down low. Who could blame me? There's nothing in the fridge than hot dogs and Bacon.
"I-If you don't like it, then just throw it away and let's order on the restaurant." I said, but I was surprised when he sat on the high chair, "Thanks for the food." He murmurs as he took a bite from the hot dogs I prepare.
I looked at him for a little while, with his crooked eyebrows, Adrien looked back, "You should eat too." He said, filling an empty plate with the fried rice, hot dogs and Bacon.
"You should learn how to cook. You'll cook for me from now on." He uttered before he continued eating. Red foreign colour was visible on my cheeks as heat spread like a wildfire through my whole face.
"Really? Then does that mean that I’ll be staying in this suite from now on, too?" I asked, but he shook his head, I instantly pucker my lips, "Come on."
"No, Ingrid. Don't push your luck any further. This is just simply a lesson for you, so you'll be able to cook real food." Adrien said. I rolled my eyes.
"Fine!"
After our breakfast--- I mean dinner, I stayed a little in his suite while he wash the dishes, when ten o'clock strikes, he walked me to my suite, he said that I need to sleep already because our work will start tomorrow at eight.
When I woke up around six in the morning, I quickly went to the bathroom to take a shower, once done, I did everything to be more appealing for his eyes, I went to his suite afterwards.
Today, I decided to make a pancake for him. I brewed some coffee as well, in case that he wants some.
I searched for the internet how to make a pancake since I already forgot how to do so, I mixed the ingredients in one bowl and I start to shape it in the pan. I panicked when I saw the edge of the pancake, it was burnt, so when I flipped it, I decided to take it as soon as possible, but because of that, the pancake was ruined, I tried it multiple times but the result end up the same.
"Well..." I sighed and took a crushed pancake from the plate, good thing it taste good. If not, I don't know what face I'll show Adrien.
"Good Morning." He uttered when he enter the kitchen, he's wearing his usual black slacks, black shoes, and a lavender coloured long sleeves. He looked over the disastrous pancake I made, amusement was visible on his eyes, a snide was lifted on his lips, while I, on the other hand is in the verge of crying.
"Hm. This mashed bread seems delicious." He uttered, but I felt like he's mocking me.
"That's a pancake!" I uttered, putting the plate on the table as I storm out of his suite.
I stumbled onto someone when I took a sharp turn on the right, I looked to see who it was, I squinted my eyes in curiosity. Well… seems familiar.
"I'm sorry-- hey. You're Ingrid right?" He uttered, his dirty blonde hair sways as the sea breeze touched it.
"Uh... Yes?" I uttered, where I saw this guy before.
"The Ingrid Krause?"
"Yes."
"Wow, I never thought I'd see you here. Were you on vacation?" He asked, I creased my eyebrows in confusion, just who is this guy?
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Harold." He said, offering his hand in the process, it was rude to not take it so I shook it, but he didn't let go of my hand.
"I danced with you before, at the bubble foam party that was held last summer." He said, now I remember. We met there!
"Oh, that's why you seem familiar. Nice meeting you again, Harold." I said, he smiled before letting go of my hand, "So what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm the HR of this Resort. Pretty fancy, ayt?" He said, I just showed him a sheepish grin in response, "How about you?" He asked.
"Oh, Daddy asked me to work here as an Architect..."
"Wait, you're the daughter of Mr Krause?" He uttered in disbelief, my mouth went agape, I thought he knew! I was about to say something when he shook his head, "Well, do you want to party sometimes?" He asked, my eyes twinkled at the thought, why wouldn't I?
"There are clubs here?!" I asked.
"Of course, though it's not as fancy as the City's clubs." He said, he took his wallet from his pocket and gave me a piece of paper.
"Here's my calling card. Just call me if you want to party, I'll better go now." He said before he proceeds on to his office. I put it on the pocket of my summer dress when I heard I violent cough from my side, It was Adrien, his intense gaze makes me want to fall on the floor.
"Who was that?" He asked, he was a few inches away from me, I gulped when he locked me to his arms, and my back touched the wall.
"He's an employee here." I said, he creased his eyebrows, clenching his jaw in the process.
"Don't talk to the guys here." He said, this time, it's my turn to look at him with curious eyes.
"Why? Don't you think that's absurd? Of course I have to interact with the people around here, be it a girl or guy. If I forbid you to talk to other girls, would you agree?" I asked, but instead of answering he took the calling card from my pocket.
"Hey! That's mine!" I cried, but before I could get it from his hand, the paper was ripped in a multiple pieces.
I was startled on what he did, but I was more flabbergasted when his lips claimed mine. His lips moved, while I just stood there, stunned. I looked at him, his eyes closed as he nibbled the lower part of my lips, I open my mouth for him to have a better access, and I tried to kiss him back but before I could, he ended the kiss.
"Ts, don't try to get anyone's number, or else I'll kiss you again." He said, he was serious, like if I'll disobey him, I'll get what he said.
"It's more of a favour than a punishment, Adrien." I grinned but he just clenched his jaw and took his phone out of his pocket and gave it to me, "Put your number here." He said.
As I typed my number on his phone, a mischievous idea came up to my mind.
I'll definitely take everyone's calling card.
