Chapter Five

1624 Words
"Damn." I muttered a curse when I heard the loud ringing of my cell phone. It seems like a deja vu of what happened yesterday morning, although the difference is that I am certain that I finished my gig yesterday, so why does Ezra called me this early in the morning?             "What is it, E?" I uttered in a raspy voice but before I could even say another word, I heard a baritone voice from the other line.             "Don't 'What is it, E?' me Ingrid, and who the heck is E, one of your boy toys? You're an hour late for goodness sake! Have you forgotten that today's the day we will to your father's hotel?"             His voice is firm and cold, it was evident in his voice that he's trying his best not to shout at me, like if I pulled the last string that's keeping him to lose his temper, he'll breath fire at me.             "Sorry. I overslept. I'll just take a bath." I uttered and without further ado, I ended the call and went straight to the bathroom. I even had the guts to hum my favourite song delightfully. I made sure that I smell good for because I'll be with him the whole trip.             Once done, I went out of my room with nothing but my pink fluffy towel. Since I'm late, Adrien wouldn't mind if I eat or something right?             "Ep!" I shrieked when I saw Adrien on my living room, he was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, eyes we're dark and his lips pressed in a grim line. I suddenly got conscious because I'm practically naked in front of him.             "Why didn't you lock the door of your unit?" He asked, his voice reverberated all over my unit like thunder as rage filled his eyes.             "I... I could barely remember what happened last night, so I’m not sure if I had locked it." I uttered, though instead of feeling terrified, euphoria swells within me, and I don't know why.             "Tsk, didn't you see the danger of not locking the doors, Ingrid?" He asked, I don't know how he was suddenly in front of me, he was wearing a black button down long sleeves that's been rolled up to his elbow and a black slacks, his scent mixed with an aftershave lingered on my nose.             "T-The door of my bedroom is locked, so don't fret." I uttered, voice quivering due to the fact that he's so close.             "Even so, what if it's not me who came here? What if it's that ex-boyfriend-s***h-r****t of yours? Considering that you're wearing nothing but a towel, who knows what could happen." He spat, his jet black eyes never leaving mine.             I was flabbergasted when he pushed me back inside my room without breaking glances, before I could even react he closed the door between us, "Go put some clothes on, I'll prepare your breakfast before we proceed on our trip." He said.             I did what he told, I wore black sleeveless chiffon top, and a while pencil skirt, I used the gladiators that he bought me last Wednesday. When I went out of my room again, this time fully dressed, I saw Adrien sitting in the high chair, a mug of coffee was in front of him.             He was looking at my clothes intently, his eyes were dark. I raised an eyebrow to him, I'm sure as hell that I wear something decent, it's not like I wore nothing but sexy lingerie.             I ate the pancakes that he made, and when I'm done, Adrien washed the dishes before we went outside my unit. He made sure that every door is locked and he unplugged every socket.             "Give me that." Adrien uttered coldly as he took my suitcase from my hand. He passed by me and clamber inside the white Toyota HIACE that's been parked in front of the Lobby of the towers.             I clamber inside as well, readying myself to sit beside him but I was lost for words especially when I saw Adrien sitting beside the same pale blonde girl he's laughing with in Fantasia, another girl was beside him.             I rolled my eyes as I sit at the back instead, feeling a slight pain in my chest when I saw him laughing with those two girls. He couldn't even smile at me, but here he was, showing this side with them.             The whole two hours of land trip was a bore, all they do is laugh and laugh even though there’s nothing laughable in their conversation. It’s a good thing I brought my power bank with me, at least I could charge my phone while playing this snake thingy with blocks in it, but it didn't reach fifteen minutes and I got bored with the game as well. In the end I slept with my earphones on.             "Wake up." I felt a light tap on my cheek as a soft voice lingers on my ear, with my eyes still drowsy I saw Adrien looking at me, I wander my eyes inside the van only to see that we are alone.             I quickly sat up and fixed my hair, I didn't think twice and went out of the van with my suitcase. For sure he'll breathe fire at me for not being awake, and I'll be the reason why we're 'late' again.             Just when I clamber out, my phone ringed, with a smile on my face, I answer the call.             "Ayowazzup, Jasper?" I uttered, I strode my way up to the yacht, I sat on the sun lounge and I saw Adrien looked at me on my peripheral.             "I'm fine! Say, I just got back in the city! We should hang out!" Jasper's baritone voice filled my ears in which made me chuckle a little.             "I would love to! But sadly, I'm on my way to the Krause Resort, dad hired me as an architect." I said, oh how I wished to hang with him and the girls. I just wanted to be with Adrien that's I'm here.             "Aw. What a bummer, woman." He uttered, "Give me why a room in the Resort. I will go there so we could hang. I'll probably bring your girls too! I hope there's a club over there." He said. I really like that idea, I will probably do that.             "Let me think of it, hahaha." I chuckled, "Anyways, I missed you so damn much. What did you bring me this time?" I asked.             "I missed you too, my princess, and it's a secret. I need to go now since I have some errands to do." He said.             "Okay, take care, love you!" I murmured and end the call.             I was surprised when I saw Adrien's face just inches away from me, his eyes turned into angry slits.             "Who was that?" He asked. Oh, great. He's mad again, like it's not new that he's mad. He's practically mad in every little thing I do.             "Don't mind it." I said. No, I wouldn't tell him that Jasper's my cousin.             He took my cell phone from me, his eyes fixed on the screen when he suddenly smirked at me. I know that, that evil smirk that says that I shouldn't mess with him.             "He's your cousin." He uttered, he sat beside me and didn't leave my side after that. How did he find out? I furrow my brows as I tried to get my mobile back and he handed it to me. Weird… I wandered my gaze in the upper desk and I didn't saw those two girls from earlier too.             With another hour of traveling, we finally reached the island where the Resort was. I've been here before but I couldn't get over with the place, it's just too breath taking.             The pristine blue waters of the ocean looks majestic, the palm trees we're planted on line and the white fine sand was surreal. On the other side of the island was a mixture of white and black and on the farther part was pure black, it's so beautiful.             I opened the camera of my phone and captured the beautiful scenery of the island. I also took a picture of me and posted it on i********:.             I stick out my tongue and raised my middle finger as I snapped another photo. I quickly send it to Jasper.             "Tsk, tsk. Even with decent clothes and in pictures, your attitude's still the same." Adrien uttered, his eyes were dark, but to my surprise when he took the suitcase in my hand and walked faster.             "It's just a picture." I mumbled, rolling my eyes. Oh, Adrien. It's okay if you notice me because you like me, not the other way around.             Although, I have to admit that it's as if something touched my heart seeing him with my carrying my luggage.             He's looking so manly with a pink luggage on his hand, he acts so mean yet he was concern as well when we're the only one around. I quickly positioned my hand to capture a photo of him with my luggage on his hand. Even with his back facing the camera, one could say that he's a good looking man.             "I would never get tired looking at you from afar." I captioned when I posted it on i********:. The smile was still visible on my face as I made it my lock screen as well.              "Ingrid, let's go. We have a lot of time to take pictures later. For now we have to put our things in the room and eat our lunch." He uttered.             Wait? Did he just say we? Are we going to share the same room?
