Jacob couldn't take his eyes off of her. 

Rosé stares back at him except the fact that there's no life in her eyes.

He felt her spirit for a brief moment but it vanished from her body after her last heartbeat. He could not move as for that very moment, his heart was shattered. With her last breath, she still uttered words like that of that day he fell in love with her smile. She continued to believe in him even on her last moments.

"What did she say your name was?" The devil asked in disbelief. Maybe he heard wrong as Lucifer hear her faint thoughts before the second she died. 

But Jacob didn't pay him any attention.

This isn't supposed to happen. He repeated those words, over and over again inside his thoughts.
