ALL ARE LIES AND DECEIT.

Javier groaned, “So how can you be f*****g pregnant, when I have a very low sperm count.“ Mia's face moved from fear and pain to shock and rage. A low sperm count? What the hell did he mean by that? With every ounce of strength inside her, she choked out, “What did—you mean?“ Javier regained himself. He had spilled the hidden truth. No one knows that for years now, he's been battling with low sperm count. He has been the reason for their childlessness. All the test results—everything—has been forged. He had paid the lab technician at Everton Medicals to make sure this secret is concealed. He lets her go and she stumbled to the floor, hitting her side sharply and letting out a gruttural cough. Despite the pain coursing through her, she pushed herself up. She needed answers. “What the hell did you mean by low sperm count?“ She asked, her voice rising with unrestrained rage. Javier didn't respond immediately. He paced around and threw his fists on the wall, several times until it bleds. “Yes, I have a low sperm count,” he roared. “I can't bear children. I have been faking those reports.“ Mia's body trembled, wave of tear pouring out of her eyes. She gripped her head so tightly as If her brain would somehow erase the truth she had heard. Her stomach twisted with painful knots. Their love, marriage—it has been a lie all along. Nothing is been real. In the past, people had always judged her, called her barren but she wasn't the one to be blamed all along. She couldn't feel her legs anymore. She stumbled back, hopefully—it was the bed behind her, if not she would have fallen to the floor. “No…. No…,” she whispered, shaking her head slowly. Three years of lies. Three years of deceit. Where did things go wrong between them? Javier was still pacing around, blood dripping from his bruised hand. The worst of it all was that he wasn't even sorry about it; he was still fuming about the pregnancy. “Ahhhhhhhhhh,” she groaned as her heart ripped into a thousand shards. She has never felt such an overwhelming pain in her entire life. She knew, even without being told that her marriage has already ended. Through her blurry eyes, she moved towards the closet, flung it open and started throwing out her clothes. Firstly, she changed from her nightwear into a sundress and then started throwing the clothes inside her suitcase. Javier turned back at her. “Where did you think you're going? Who the hell is responsible for that bastard?“ Silence. He lost his patience and toss the suitcase away. He wrapped his hands tightly around her wrist. “Who is the father of that bastard?“ Mia yanked her hands away from his grip. “Don't you dare call my child bastard,” she whispered, her voice chilling. "You've lost the right to feel offended." He didn't say anything. Mia wasn't done yet. “Don't you have anything to say to me?“ She asked, her voice was laced with raw pain. “How could you betray me like this? Three years and you make it seem like I was the problem. How selfish are you?“ Javier's expression flicker with something. Regret? Perhaps guilt? But it doesn't matter anymore. The deed has already been done. He lowered himself to the couch. The silence in the room was deafening as Mia packed a few of her essentials. She finished packing and wheeled her suitcase behind her. “I will send the divorce papers. Sign them as soon as possible.“ With that, she walked out of the room. Javier clenched his fists. His heart twisted as the door slammed shut behind her. A tear streamed down his cheeks. He truly regretted everything. He wished he had done things differently. A part of him wants to go after her, beg her to forgive, tell her to stay…. but that baby? His guilt was quickly replaced with untamed anger. Who the hell had the gut to screw his wife? He changed away from the towel into a casual Jean and polo, and he made his way to the control room. The room was dusty with cobwebs flying around. He's never been here in months since there has been no reason to check the CCTV footage. Carefully weaving through the cobwebs, he played the footage, swiping through several scenes of Jayden and Mia but none seems suspicious since he had always asked Jayden to look after Mia in his absence. Until, he stumbled on the scene where Jayden had kissed Mia in the living room. “What?“ His fingers trembled, and his eyes blazed as he watched as Jayden and Mia made love—right there in the living room. Then it all made sense. Only his brother could've had the effrontery to screw his wife. He had trusted him with Mia's wellbeing yet he betrayed her without a second thought. A wave of pain and rage washed down on him. “Jayden…..“ he screamed, slamming his palm on the table. Javier stormed out of the room, got into his car and drove towards Jayden apartment. He was driving at the highest speed. Other drivers threw curses at him but it doesn't matter. In fifteen minutes, he reached his mansion and stormed in. Jayden was seated in his lavished living room, with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Everton. His mother was showing him a picture of a beautiful lady from her phone. “This is Senator Richard's daughter,” she says. “I think she would make a good wife." Jayden's mind was miles away. To Mia. To the news of her pregnancy. He has not been himself since yesterday. His mother continued. Her voice almost pleading. “You should get married this year, Jayden.“ Jayden wasn't interested in any of the ladies. He was only interested in one woman. Mia. Forbidden. Untouchable. Before he could respond, the door bell rang. Jayden's eyes narrowed in confusion. He wasn't expecting anyone. Reluctantly, he stood and walked towards the door. He twisted the key open and Javier stood there. His eyes widen in shock. “Jav—” Before he could finish, Javier's fists connected to his face. “You bastard!“ Jayden wasn't expecting it. So he stumbled back, hitting the floor sharply. Javier didn't let him catch his breath before he pounce on his again. Still on the floor, Javier straddled him and hit him heavily. Each punch carrying all his rage, followed by cursed words. Their parents mouth hung open. Their mother was already crying, while their father tried to stop Javier. Jayden allowed himself to be hit. Not because he can't overpower Javier, but because he could somehow sense the reason for his actions. He deserves to be hit even though he would still make the same choice over and over again. Mr. Everton finally pushed Javier away from him. “Leave me alone, father,” he groaned, trying to break free. “I want to kill this bastard! How dare you impregnate my wife?“ Their parents breath caught. “What?“
