I sit in my car, my head resting on the steering wheel. I have nowhere to go at the moment. I left Victoria's room without asking for her spare key and she isn't answering her phone, either. This is just great. Lighting flashed across the sky and I groan, it didn't say it was going to rain tonight.
Just go back in there and stop being a chicken-s**t. I say to myself.
I look back over to the apartment complex. Here goes nothing. I grab the wine bottles and head back upstairs once more. The music isn't as loud as it was before, so I can hear their conversation from outside the door.
"Why are you upset with me, Avery?" India asked.
"I'm not upset."
"Hell, I would be. That chick lives here too and you disrespected her." an unfamiliar guy's voice says, coming to my defense. That makes me smile a little.
I put the key in the door, unlocking it. All eyes are on me and I just give them all a nasty glare. I count down from five before walking further into the apartment. My eyes lock with Avery's challenging him, I don't know what I'm challenging him for but I am. He slowly raises an eyebrow at me and a smile tugs at his lips.
"Alright, guys we're going to call it a night." He says not taking his eyes off of me. I break eye contact once he slowly starts licking his lips. India takes his face in her hands, turning all of his attention to her.
"Baby, you want everyone to leave already? I want to party just a little bit more." she pouts.
I walk into the kitchen deciding to pour me a glass of wine, while they all leave for the night. Avery and I are going to have a nice long discussion about this apartment and who is going to be staying here, which will be me. All my furniture is already here anyway.
"Indy, not tonight." I hear Avery tell her and I can already picture her pouting and batting her long eyelashes at him.
I open the cabinet door I would assume has the wine glasses, but it's empty. I start looking through all the cabinets and everything is empty. Where the hell is my stuff? If he tossed my things I will be beyond pissed off. The bag of Red Solo Cups is sitting on top of the refrigerator and I swipe one. As I pour my wine, I can hear everyone exchanging their goodbyes. The door finally closes and I step out of the kitchen.
"I didn't take you as a fighter." He looks at me briefly and then continues to clean up the mess in the living room.
"I'm not." I take a few gulps of my wine.
"You came back and I didn't think you were going to."
"It is my apartment, why wouldn't I come back?" I sit on the couch watching him clean up.
"It's our apartment." He carries the cups to the kitchen and comes back out with two beers and the open wine bottle. I'm not too sure what he has in mind, but it's a no for me. I don't want to be buddy-buddy with him to the point he thinks we both can live here because we cant.
"Avery, you can't possibly think you and I can live here. There is only one bed, which my parents paid for and honestly, I don't know you to want to share my apartment with you." He is not understanding me.
"Like I said it's our apartment and I'm not leaving until the frat house renovations are complete." He slowly likes his lips before bringing the beer bottle to them. "You know what, I have a little game we can play."
"I don't play games."
"Everyone plays games. You're playing one with me right now." He smirks against the rim of his beer bottle.
I shift on uncomfortable on the couch. "What game?"
He places his bottle on the coffee table and then reaches for my cup. I jerk my hand back at the same time he grabs it and some of the content spills on my chest. Avery quickly goes to clean it up with his mouth and I freeze. He leans back and winks at me.
"Are you out of your mind?" I toss the rest of the wine in my cup on him and pray that my couch doesn't get ruined from it.
"What the hell was that for?" he jumps up pulling his shirt off to wipe himself.
I stand. "You licked me," I can't even understand why he would think my reaction would be any different from what I just did.
"You spilled a drink, I was only helping."
"Grabbing a paper towel, yeah, not licking it up with your tongue. You're insane!" Any remaining thoughts of sharing an apartment with him seriously went out the window.
His eyes widen. He probably has never met a member of the opposite s*x turn him down or call him out on his crap. Well now he has and I will not be tolerating his crap this weekend. I can still feel some of the wine traveling slowly between my breast as I go into the bathroom.
The bathroom is bare and I can't wait to start decorating once he leaves. I take some tissue cleaning between my breast.
"Insane, you're saying I'm insane?" Avery stands in the doorway. "You come back inside with t**s on display, carrying wine bottles, and basically tell me with your eyes you want me. So I kick everyone out and this--"
"Are you serious right now? Please tell me this is a joke? Avery Levine, you need to leave." I fold my arms at my chest, making sure to carefully not push my breast up.
"I'm not going anywhere." He tosses his shirt.
"Oh really?" I pull out my phone and shoot my good friend Shay an SOS text. She quickly responded back and I look up at Avery. "Leave or I will call the cops."
"You wouldn't dare."
"I so would." I go into my contacts quickly landing on the 911 name. I click it and put it on speaker.
"911 what's your emergency?" Shay's voice comes through the speaker very professionally. Avery looks at me with raised eyebrows. "911 what's your emergency?"
"Hi, my name is Ave—"
"f**k it I'm out." Avery walks off grabbing a new shirt out the room and storms out the apartment, slamming the door behind him. I quickly lock the door and put the chain lock on.
"Avery, what happened?" I look down at my phone.
"Just had to get this guy to leave my apartment and it was proven to be more difficult than I thought. Thank you for help." I sigh walking to my bedroom.
"No problem. Are you still coming over next weekend? I can't wait to show you and Victoria my new place."
"Of course. I hear your brother will be staying with you for a bit too. Now we finally get to meet the infamous brother of yours." I tease. Shay rarely speaks about her stepbrother and when she does it's nothing nice. We've never seen pictures of him and all her social media they don't follow each other. He is literally a mystery.
"Ugh don't remind me. I have to go just got another SOS text. You chicks owe me big time for these calls. I was in the middle of shooting a makeup tutorial for my YouTube channel." I can hear her shuffling around. "I'm getting another call, talk to you later love."
"Later."
I place my phone on the dresser and remove the sheets off the bed. The nerve of Avery f*****g on my Egyptian cotton sheets. Grabbing new sheets out of one of my duffel bags, I make my bed and call it a night.
