January came and went and so, too went Ioni"s dream of getting her own place. She’d looked high and low and had to admit that she simply couldn"t afford it. But she was working hard, focusing where she needed to and her grades from her first semester of college were good enough for her to make it onto the Dean"s List. Her father made it a point to tell her how impressed he was with her for carrying a job and making good grades at the same time. She floated on that compliment for a solid week. With her newfound focus, she decided finally to major in Accounting, which also pleased her father in part because she was following in his footsteps and in part because he could relax, knowing that her job prospects post-graduation would be much better than the Liberal Arts degree he was worried sh
