After the taxi dropped her off, Brianna verified with Crestwood"s front desk that Molly had returned to cabin fifteen, the last one on the northern trail. She asked the clerk to hold off on calling her mother as she had a few things to address before meeting Molly. She took a seat on the closest sofa, debating whether to tell her mother she"d invited Carter over to the cabin to talk to them. Brianna wanted time alone to analyze his facial expressions and understand what he thought as she told him all she"d learned. She also wanted to study his physical features to determine if they shared anything in common, curious if now that she knew he could be her father, it would appear obvious.
