I was in the kitchen when I heard Daisy left the house. I went into the living room and laid down on the couch for a moment while I reflected about the way in which I had treated them earlier.
I was aware that it was a childish thing to do, but I couldn't help myself. It really hurt my feelings when I found out that my best friend had married my first true love. I had the impression that I had been deceived! She was aware of the sentiments I had for him, therefore I don't see why she would steal him away from me.
And to make matters worse, I later discovered that Marcus had been aware of my plans for that day and had purposefully obstructed my path to Linden as a result. How inconsiderate of him! I have no intention of ever forgiving him for this!
