The wall between us

First year

Senad is a 16 year old boy who lives in Travnik a city in the middle of Bosnia and Herzegovina a country known for the war they had in 1992.

Senad was always open minded and his parents would always tell him to not play with boys with other ethnicities as he was always taught that they are the enemy and they wish us no good no matter how much their smiled upon seeing us, so Senad out of respect towards his parents he didn't , but this year he would enter the medical school which is located in the same building as the church school the two school was always a representative for hate,war and segregation between ethnicities the fence it had which separated them was always a way of saying that the other side is worse . but Senad was optimistic as he always be and he would always say: not all people is the same and for sure his generation is the one that would show that no matter what religion you practice we all are the same.

so the first day begins he gets packed and on his way. And as soon as he entered the school yard he saw the fence that he always heard but his notice turned quickly to the looks of his school old full of wall graffiti and facade going of while the other side was painted in a bright blue colour , and immediately a rush of thoughts began to run in his mind he started to think " maybe we are actually different maybe what my parents said was right" but he came to himself and said to himself to stay optimistic and not to judge everything by the look.

Day by day he saw that their is no contact between the two sides and he would probably would give no interest by the end of the year.
