I didn’t know what hurt more, Gina’s words or the truth behind them. She looked at us like we were disgusting. And honestly, maybe we were. All this time, we thought we had the upper hand. We thought that we were doing what was best and that Autumn was just being difficult again.
But that footage destroyed every excuse we had left. Gina stood in front of us like she was the only one with a brain in this entire mansion. Her voice was trembling with anger, but her eyes… those cold, furious eyes made me feel small. It felt like I wasn’t Alpha and I wasn’t even worth the title.
“We didn’t know,” Knox said again, but the words sounded hollow.
“You knew enough to hurt her,” Gina snapped. “You remembered the past. Just like me. So why are you still making the same mistakes?”
