Chapter 8

Nicole's POV

I was so nervous I think I can faint anytime and to be honest, I am starting to freak out right now. I will meet his mother in another four hours and the most important question, what should I wear? I don't think his mother will be happy that his son has finally found someone and more of that, someone like me – you know with a mess up family and background.

I sighed and went outside to living room, I can’t think anymore, and I don’t know what I should do now. Thank God, Ace is at the living room on the couch with a laptop on his laps.

"What are you doing?" He looked up to me and gestured for me to go to him. I sit down beside him and look at the proposal he needs to read, so I stared at his face because looking at his proposal is too mainstream since I don't understand any single thing. He put his laptop on sleep and look at me.

"Why are you sweating?" He asked, looking so worried. "Or are you sick?" I shook my head and rest my head against the couch.

"I am getting nervous and I start to freak out now." He brushed my hair to the side since some of it is in my face. "About what, hm?"

I rolled my eyes. "What else, meeting your mother of course." He chuckled. How can he laugh when I'm really worried? I stand up while I grab his hand and pulled him to stand up too.

"Where are we going?" He asked.

I turn to look at him. "Pick my dress."

He rolled his eyes but followed me to my room, once we reach my room I lay in my bed while he went through my closet to pick my dress. I hope this is right because at least he knows what his mother's taste in fashion.

"This one." I sighed and take a deep breath because I don’t know which dress that he chose. I sit down on the bed and I saw he was holding a black dress with no strap and it flow down like princess dress. I nodded and show him my thumbs indicated that it was good.

He put the dress back it my closet then he walked to me. "Don't worry. You'll be fine." He holds my shoulder and squeeze it to calm me down.

"You should start dressing up now since it will be in another three hours." Why did he need to remind me about that? I'm hyperventilating now, he kind of enjoy teasing me right now since he chuckled lowly before he makes his way out.

That bastard.

After 3 hours and despite being super nervous, I was ready in my black dress and a natural make up. I went out and look at Ace – looking so good in his black button up shirt and jeans.

"You look so beautiful." He takes my hand and kiss it.

"I can say the same thing about you." I tip toe a bit and kiss him in the cheek.

"Why, thank you." He looks like he slightly blushing? It is so funny. He takes a look at me again from head to toe, "How I wish I can undress you." He continued. I glare at him.

"Careful there, honey. I don't want to break your hand." He chuckled at my statement while he picked a car key, which I noticed is his new McLaren – yes, it is his new car that he just bought. When I ask him why, he said too much money.

After almost one hour in that super fantastic car, we reach at this white mansion that you often see in some movies – you know the one that prince charming or princess lives in. I can't stop saying wow, I swear this place is so fantastic. I notice one car is at the driveway. His mother has a guest too?

Ace ring the bell and some old lady open the door. "Hi Maria." He hugged the old lady. His mother? I don't think so because she didn't give me this weird vibe that mostly only your mother in laws will give you.

"This is my nanny, Maria. Maria, this is my fiancé, Nicole." I shook her hand when Ace introduce her, and I don't remember Ace telling me he had a Nanny.

"Come on in." We enter the house and heard two voice laughing loudly. Now, I can feel the weird vibe. He holds my hand and squeeze, so I look at him. "Don't worry." He mouthed. I nodded.

"Mother." He acknowledged a beautiful lady that is sitting on the expensive couch. I went to his mother trying to introduce myself but before I did that, her words shook me, "This is the woman you choose?” Oh, wow? This is kind of awesome.

"Baby, I miss you." I turn around and saw Lia is kissing my Ace's cheek. What the hell?

I am getting pissed right now, I can’t stand this, so I walk back to Ace and untangle Lia's hand that wrap around Ace neck.

"I'm sorry but I don't like it you do that to my fiancé." She rolled her eyes and grab Ace again.

This is so infuriating – I mean how could this happen right now. Ace finally unwrapped her hands by himself and he walk towards me, take my hand and gesture me to sit down. I sit down beside him, still doesn't let go of his hands.

"I know your intention to my son." I raised my eyebrow at his mother’s word, "I know you want him for his money and all of his property."

"Says the one that needs the same thing." I retort back.

"Look, mother. She is being so rude to you." Lia voice out while she looked at me and smirk. This is not a dinner, this is a war. Fighting over Ace. I rub my head slowly, I'm getting massive headache now.

"Let her be Lia. I know how to handle her. Son, I want to break off your relationship with her and marry Lia. She's suitable for you." Are they stupid or something?

"Mother, I choose Nic. I only want her." Ace answered and look at me. I think it is only my feeling, but I notice something on his eyes and his feelings are showing through that.

"She only wants your money. I bet she done that things to other guys out there too." I can't take this anymore. She's insulting me and I can't let that pass.

I stand up and glare at his mother. "I'm going to said this only once, Madam Wilson." I said loudly.

"I never do this to anyone and I'm so honest to your son. I really want him, and I know you don't like me because you know your son is head over heels about me and you are scared that you will not get any money from him which I will make sure that he did that.”

She looks shocked by my statement, I continued, “You want her to marry Lia because both of you is the same. You bet your son doesn't know a thing, well f**k you he knows everything. Your scheme and all your plans, I know this too because of this stupid woman" I paused and point to Lia "-tell me that both of you will ruined me."

His mother stood up instantly and walk to me. I raised my eyebrow and just then, she slapped in my right cheek. "Mother! I can't tolerate this anymore." I hold his chest.

"This is the last time you raised your hand to me. You do that ever again, I will make sure you will meet hell as soon as possible and don't think I'm scared of you. I'm far from that."

I sit down and put my fake smile. "Oh, and you Lia.” I look at her, “If you disturb me again, I will make sure to tell the press that you are such a b***h to flaunting your fake boobs to my fiancé – just because you want to be his wife.”

"Look mother. This is my final chance and you did this again to her, I will make sure that you never see me again and I will make you suffer. I have had enough of your s**t and I can't take it anymore." Ace told her sternly. I can see her pale face briefly before she put her facade back.

"Let's go Nic. We will have our dinner elsewhere." He offered me his hands and I take it.

I stop abruptly and Ace look at me. I smile evilly, "In another one months, I will be the new Miss Wilson. I can't wait." I heard them snorted and huffed loudly. I pulled Ace and soon we walk away from the house.

We slid into his car and he drove away. I let my breath that I hold for God knows how long and I am glad that we are out of from that house.

"I think we make a good team." He said to me and smile.

"I think the same thing."

"I am proud of you. You really show them who you are."

"I get pissed off when she insults me, and I am sorry by the way for saying rude things to your mother." I look at him. Well, she is still his mother though.

"No, I am glad you told her the truth and right now, enough with them. Where do you want to eat?"

I nodded. "Surprise me, Mr Ace."

He chuckled and pinch my cheek. "Sure fiancé." I think I like that name especially because its coming from his mouth.

That sexy bastard, he obviously know how to make my heart flutter.
