“How have you been?” she asks.
“Okay.” I respond with no interest in continuing the conversation.
“Oh, I was expecting a bit more than just an okay.” She says her voice annoying me immediately.
“Marissa, what more do you expect me to say to you?” I ask a bit more harshly than intended too.
“You’re talking to me as if I am disturbing your peace.” Her face changes into a poker face.
Well, you kind of are, I don’t really want to be here worse off holding unnecessary conversations with people I am not interested in, of course I won’t say that out loud or she will keep complaining.
“There you are, I have been looking for you.” Natalie approaches us thank goodness. “Good evening Ms.” She greets Marissa.
