I hear a loud noise, something is hitting the metal bars of the cell next to mine.
“Wake up, you all have court hearings today.” I hear an officer shout.
I open my eyes and blink a few times as my eyes adjust to the light. I sit up and stretch my back and arms. My back hurts from laying on the hard mattress. I better get used to it because I am going away for a long time.
I finally managed to sleep in the early hours of today. I could not stop thinking about Melissa and our child. I kept imaging how beautiful or handsome our child will be.
