Although I had no clue about whom Jesse was referring to, whoever she was, I was genuinely thankful to her.
“When you run into her next, introduce her to me. She deserves a reward for saving my little princess,” I said, gently patting Jesse’s hair. She nodded with delight.
Turning my head around, I spotted Chloe tapping her foot aggressively on the floor, annoyance evident in her eyes.
