The elevator doors opened to Joe’s office floor. I crept over to Cassie’s desk to look for some sort of clue as to what he was up to. I opened the top draw and it was filled with different folders containing various documents. I saw one with Joe’s name on it and pulled it out. Laying it on the desk, I took a deep breath and opened the flap to reveal the document.

What! That can’t be right. Joe said that he was 18 when I met him which made him 5 years older than me. If this date is correct then that means he wasn’t 18 at all... he was 20! That makes him 25 years old. Why did he lie about his age? I don’t care how old he is, it didn’t change him as a person but why lie? I continued reading.
