Chapter Two Several hours later, Juno finally arrived in La Rinconada, Peru. She gazed around at the snow-capped mountains before focusing on the village. The streets were filthy. Few, if any, houses appeared to have running water or plumbing. Stepping around a beggar on the sidewalk, she looked around for a bar, restaurant or main office. Somehow, she needed to find out where Supay was located and end things. Juno finally found a bar after wandering the streets. Unlike the buildings that surrounded it, this structure seemed to be fairly clean. Swinging the bar door open, Juno entered the room. As she stepped inside, the bartender looked up. “Whisky and cola,” she said before sitting down. She surveyed the room while seated on the stool. A few dirty miners had already taken up residency
