I set the phone down and sighed. Who was I even kidding? I wasn’t even going to get a dent of work done typing on my phone in this place.

I moved out of the way just in time to avoid getting wine spilled on me by a drunk couple who were passing by. The party was loud and busy and for all it was worth, I hadn’t seen Ryan or Noah all night.
“b***h!! Where are you? This party is lit!” Sonia’s text dinged into my phone and I smiled. She was enjoying herself. Good. She could actually afford to, since she had covered way more of the assignment than I had.
“I’m sitting in a corner and trying to get some of Mr. Bentley’s assignment done. I still have like sixteen pages left.”
