Desmond stumbled from Mykel's grasp once they returned to The Echo. The jolt from vanishing and reappearing from mist had him losing his balance. Luckily, he caught himself before he could make the fall to the pavement. Once he was standing upright again and managing to catch his breath, Desmond turned back to face Mykel. Upon their return, he had gone still and quiet and worse, he was watching Desmond intently. The dark vines that had wrapped themselves around Mykel's body loosened their grip now that they had returned back to The Echo. Like dried out plants, they retracted from his body and fell away from his wrists and ankles to the ground.
