OLIVIA “I’ll fetch you.” Wilson says authoritatively in the other line. I went to a salon branch because I have visited the salon for a very long time now. “Don’t. I know you have a lot to do in the office.” I said. I waved to the taxi that passed and it stopped in front of me. “I’m okay.” “Well, I’m not. Your car is in coding, I’m not comfortable with you commuting.” I took a deep breath. I’m already in the taxi. “I’ve done this so many times, Will.” “I’m on my way.” I heard the engine of his car sound. “Huh? I’m already in a taxi.” “So? Get down.” I gasped when I noticed the irritation in his voice. “Go back to the boutique.” “But your office works.” Okay. I’m trying to be in denial. “All I have there are f*****g useless. I want you safe. Now, do what I say. I’ll s***k you when I don’t catch you at the boutique.” “Oh I’m so scared. Okay, fine.” I sighed. I looked at the driver. I didn’t take my phone away so Wilson could hear me following him. “Victor please go back to the boutique.” “Yes ma’am.” Victor immediately turned around and headed for the boutique. “Are you satisfied now?” I asked Wilson. He chuckled. “Yeah. Give me three minutes.” I paid the taxi driver before getting off. Say on the bench and waited for Wilson. I watched the young people go in and out of the newly opened bar, not far from where my shop stood. Teenagers. I turned my gaze to the Black car parked in front of me. I didn’t wait for Wilson to get off, I immediately got in his passenger seat. “Let’s go,” I ordered him. His head furrowed. “Are you mad?” “No.” I simply said. Nothing. I just wanted to annoy him and see his reactions towards it. He placed his arm on the headrest of my chair and one of His hands touched my hand that was above my thigh. “How was day? Are you tired?” I shrugged. “Good.” “You’re mad.” His lip came close to my ear. I felt him smell my hair. “Why are you mad at me? You don’t want me to take care of you?” I grab his polo. “Will, I just don’t want to bother you because I know you’re tired.” “Is that it? You’re worried about me? Good God, Olivia.” I held my breath as his head went down my neck. “You’re overthinking.” “I’m not.” He laughed softly and stepped away from me. “Come here. Sit on my lap.” My eyebrows met. “I’m not your dog.“ “Again, don’t overthink things, sweetheart.” He pulled my two arms and sat me on top of his thigh. He wrapped his arms around my waist. “Let’s talk… tell me how mad you are.” “Mad enough ——“ he moved closer and kissed the heel out of me, his tongue sliding into my mouth. I was gasping for air when he finally pulled away, surprise by his take charge attitude. I placed my hands on his shoulder and leaned closer to brush my lips over his. “I miss your sweet lips. What did you eat? I can taste chocolate.” “Hershey cake.” I fail to say. I moaned as he inserted both hands into my blouse and squeezed my boobs. “That’s too much sugar. Calories. Let’s get you to swear.” “Wait —“ I whimpered, cling to the back of his neck. His mouth tasted like peanut butter and alcohol, and gods hair smelled like lavender, the sweet scent reading my senses. “No —“ “You don’t want me to touch you?” I moved away from him a bit and kissed him on the cheek. “Not really. I have red days.” “When will it stop?” “Sunday,” I said softly. “Four more days?” He leaned back in the chair. He caressed me cheeks. “Do you have cramps?” I shook. “So that explains why you’re so moody and love eating chocolate.” “It’s natural.” That’s how women are. It’s normal. “Let’s go honey and take a rest.” He slaps butt softly. I adjusted my seat and he started the car. I talked about the rising sales of my shop because Of the people who wear their wedding dresses with us. When will I be able to wear that? We also are outside so I wouldn’t have to cook. He doesn’t want me to get tired. When we got home Wilson immediately went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. I have prepared his boxer shorts and sleeping shirt. I looked away when my phone rang. I immediately approached to answer that. Unknown number? “Hello?” “Hello, my sweet Olivia.” Nate! “Nate?” Why is he calling me? “Glad you still recognize my voice.” He sigh. “By the way, I took your number from Cassie. I just called to say … goodbye. I’m going back to China tomorrow we have a contest to play. Can I see you now?” I can’t. I sat in the bed with the phone in my ear. “Nate, I wish you luck. I will always watch your match and support you too. But… I can’t see you right now.” “Why? Why don’t you want to leave your husband’s side? He’s always hurting you, always making you cry. Olivia, you’ve suffered enough.” I heard the agony in his voice. I was the one to be blamed of the bad feelings he felt. I sighed. “Nate, I love my husband. I don’t want to hurt you but that’s the truth. Please, understand.” “I don’t know you anymore. I’m the one you run to when people around hurt you. I’m always by your side. Why can’t you love me back?” I did literally everything to make you feel happy and good!” His voice trembled. “I don’t deserve you, Nate.” It’s the truth. “Why don’t you f*****g deserve?! Tell me, Olivia. Why?! I love you so much it hurts. Please, come with me. I can make you so dam-n happy.” He shouts it out. “I’m sorry.” I looked up to avoid tears in my eyes. “You’ll find a lot more of other women they’ll love you, Nate.” “I’m stuck with you. I can’t move on. I love you that much.” I heard his sons. “Please come with me, babe.” “You … you’re a good guy, Nate. I’m so happy that I met you. You’re the greatest best friend I ever have. Good luck with your big game. Have a safe trip.” Before he could speak, I put down my phone and turned it off. “That’s melodramatic.” I gasped. I looked at Wilson who was not standing by my side. I cleared my throat. “Are your still there.” Oh, no. Is he mad? But, I… I’m not flirting with Nate. How far did he hear? Is he going to hurt me? “Don’t be nervous, love. I’m not mad besides I’m so damn happy. You chose to be with me than to be with him. Thank you so much my love.” He say next to me. He hugged me tightly although his body was still wet. I felt relieved that he did that. He’s not mad. I’m glad. He raised my hand ABSA kissed me. “Can I kiss you now?” I raised an eyebrow and hovered over his body. He’s half n***d and only a towel around good waist covers him. “You’re naked.” “ I want to sleep n***d. It’s so hot right now. Does it bother you?” “No, of course not.” I failed a smile. “You’ll sleep on the floor.” I teased him. He stood up and let go of my hand. “Where did you put my boxer shorts? I can’t find it babe.”
