Olivia's POV I tried to laugh it off, but it came out sounding more like a nervous squeak. "Stalking you?" I repeated, attempting to downplay the whole thing. "Like we've got nothing better to do?" But Mrs. Thompson wasn't buying it. Her expression turned stern, and she held up her phone, her thumb hovering over the screen. "I've already got 911 typed in," she warned, her voice firm. "Now I'm going to dial it." That's when my nerves completely took over. I felt my resolve crumbling, and before I knew it, I was blurting out a confession. "Please don't do that! I'll tell you the truth!" I exclaimed, my voice shaking like a leaf. Zoe grabbed my arm, her eyes wide with warning. "Olivia, don't!" she whispered urgently, but I shook her off, the words tumbling out of me like a dam break
