Jayda stopped talking for a while after mentioning her younger brother. She leaned her back against the sofa and crossed both of her arms while staring at the television in front of them that wasn’t even turned on. Silence suddenly felt loud between them. Damek noticed it. He tilted his head slightly and looked at Jayda carefully. “You stopped.” Jayda blinked and immediately forced a smile. “Did I?” “Yes.” She chuckled awkwardly. “Maybe I just got tired of talking.” “That fast?” “What?
