Episode Three

Deborah was not happy to find her husband with the princess. She had a feeling that something was not right, but when her suspicions were confirmed, she was livid. She had been so focused on her witchcraft that she had been neglecting her husband. Edwin had always been a devout husband; he was always reliable. Deborah had just been caught up in the whirlwind of her new found powers.  She made a decision to put a spell on the princess and teach her a lesson. She knew that the princess would be back tomorrow so she had to work quickly. She consulted her books and found the perfect potion. Deborah would turn Inissa’s world upside down, literally. Deborah stayed up all night mixing together ingredients into a powerful powder. The next day, Deborah came weakly out of her room as soon as she heard Inissa in the workshop. She went over to her and blew the magical dust into Inissa’s pretty face. With one quick puff Inissa had disappeared. Edwin was stunned and speechless. Deborah turned to her husband and looked him in the eyes. Edwin was so scared, he ran from the workshop.               Inissa was shocked to see Deborah come out from the shadows of the workshop. This was the last thing she remembered before waking up in a pile of straw. Inissa did not know where she was, she wearily got up and began to realize something was very wrong. Her beautiful gown had turned into a brown frock. Her flowing hair was matted. She looked at her hands and they were dirty. Inissa began to cry, she had never seen her hands dirty before. She walked along and realized no one was looking at her, no one recognized her, and worse; she did not recognize anyone or anything.               Still in shock and very confused, Inissa stumbled into the first place she saw. She found herself in a bar filled with people she had never met. No one turned to look at her. She realized things were much different now.               Inissa did not know what she was going to do. She spent the rest of the day just walking around and trying to get a grip on her new found reality. Deborah had turned her into a commoner and she was in a new town! Inissa went back to the hay pile that she had awoke in and laid down to get some rest, determined this was just a bad dream. However, when she awoke the next day, she was still in the same miserable existence; except now she was in pain. She had a strong feeling in her gut, and then she realized she was hungry. She had never been hungry before. Inissa went into a shop to get something to eat. She asked the man who worked there for some food and the shop worker asked if she had any money. She did not. Hungry, confused, and alone; Inissa began to sob. The shop worker gave her a few scraps of food and told her to leave.
