Chapter 7Walking in the door I saw Misha asleep on the couch. She looked beautiful laying there. I had a sudden guilty feeling and I had to rub my chest to ease the ache. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking with Lizzy. The woman I was pretty sure was my mate was here at the lodge laying on the couch waiting for me. What was I doing running to an ex-girlfriend’s rescue? Ugh, I’m such a dumbass, I thought again for the hundredth time. How the hell could I claim her as my mate and turn around and almost mess with another woman. Maybe it’s because I haven’t claimed her yet. I need to do that and soon, but I also felt like I needed to explain to Misha what happened tonight and beg for her forgiveness. I felt guilty and didn’t like it.
