Chapter 20Lawson
My head was hurting slightly, and my eyes felt gritty as I tried to open them. I shifted over a bit and felt someone lying beside me. Turning my head, I saw Misha. She had her hand laying on my chest and she was sound asleep. I smiled and watched her as I remembered what had happened in the woods. That man was going to take her head off. If he would have succeeded she wouldn’t be here with me now.
The thought sent fear through me and a rush of anger hit me. I sat up and steadied myself for a minute as my head started to spin. After a few minutes I swung my legs over and stood, only to fall right back down to the floor. I groaned, as my hip connected with the cold hardwood floor. Holy s**t, my hip felt like it was going to split in half.
