When I opened my eyes, the bed beside me was empty. A cool breeze filtered through the half-open window, the curtains swaying gently. Liam was already up. I stretched, the events of last night lingering in my mind. I couldn’t let Dante’s threats shake me. Not now. Not when everything was finally falling into place. I freshened up quickly, splashing cool water on my face to clear my thoughts. As I made my way through the hallway, a delicious aroma pulled me toward the kitchen. And there he was. Liam stood by the stove, his broad back to me, muscles flexing under his skin as he moved. He wore nothing but a pair of grey shorts slung low on his hips, showing off every curve and line of his perfectly sculpted body. His hair was slightly messy, giving him that just-rolled-out-of-bed look. F
