JEALOUSY CREEPS IN

390 Words
Chapter Thirteen Samantha and Alex had been together for over a year, and their relationship had been going strong. They were deeply in love, and their friends and family often commented on how perfect they were for each other. But as time went on, Samantha started to notice that Alex was spending more and more time with his new coworker, Rachel. Rachel was a beautiful and charming woman, and Samantha couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy whenever she saw Alex talking to her. At first, Samantha tried to brush off her feelings, telling herself that she was being ridiculous. But as the days went by, she found herself becoming increasingly possessive and paranoid. She would ask Alex questions about Rachel, trying to gauge their relationship, and she would get upset if Alex didn't answer her questions to her satisfaction. Alex, sensing that something was wrong, tried to reassure Samantha that there was nothing going on between him and Rachel. But Samantha's jealousy had already taken hold, and she couldn't shake the feeling that Alex was hiding something from her. One night, as they were getting ready for bed, Samantha confronted Alex about her feelings. "I don't trust you around Rachel," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "I think you're attracted to her, and it's making me crazy." Alex was taken aback by Samantha's accusations. "Samantha, I promise you, there's nothing going on between me and Rachel," he said. "She's just a coworker, and I barely even think about her outside of work." But Samantha's jealousy had already consumed her, and she couldn't believe Alex's denials. She started to cry, feeling hurt and betrayed, and Alex tried to comfort her, but she pushed him away. As the night wore on, the tension between them only grew. Alex tried to reassure Samantha that he loved her and only her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that he was lying to her. As they lay in bed, not speaking to each other, Samantha realized that her jealousy had become a toxic force in their relationship. She knew she needed to find a way to overcome it, or risk losing the man she loved. But as she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't shake the feeling that Rachel was still out there, waiting to pounce and steal Alex away from her.
