24 It was a couple of minutes before Simon Bonner entered the office on the heels of Constable Havers, who resigned himself to a standing position off to one side when he realised there was nowhere for him to sit once Bonner had taken the seat at the desk. If Bonner was concerned about being questioned in connection with a death, he showed no sign of it. He sat across the desk from the inspector, looking calmer and more composed than the average person would have under the circumstances.
