12 “Are you sure your laptop is the only thing that was taken?” Havers asked from where he stood in the doorway of Nathan’s room, his eyes on the mess that had been left by the intruder. “As sure as I can be,” Nathan said, stifling yet another yawn. It was gone half past two in the morning and he was past ready for bed; his tiredness was made worse by the fact that he was still wearing the soaking clothes he had returned to the hotel in.
