Chapter Thirty John The server appears curious as he looks at Lilah. It was noticeable how he looked at her when we were seated and when he took our orders. He also thinks she’s drop-dead gorgeous. Giving her the pen and walking away, he must have known she doesn’t have paper. Standing at a distance, it’s clear he’s looking at us, that she wrote on something, and he seems curious because as he walked over to place our orders on the table, he specifically looked for the object that had been written on.
