Chapter Thirty-Eight John I’m lying in my bed in the bungalow, the lights on dim, pondering how everything is perfect. We had such an adventure these last few days, and then skydiving. It all seems to have been a little much for her. I wonder why she isn’t her chirpy self, but she did say that she will talk to me about it tomorrow. Then the M-Bomb—perhaps it was something that I said or didn’t say that triggered it, but I guess I’ll never know until she actually speaks up and tells me what’s on her mind. She doesn’t want to let me in just yet. I think it’s time to get some rest, though it’s still early, but I’m tired. I look, it’s ten o’clock, and turn over to sleep.
