Chapter Thirty-Nine Lilah I fall asleep almost instantaneously after my hot shower and getting into bed. It was a mind-numbing day. We saw great places, not to mention the awful experience of skydiving. But I’d thought enough about it for today. I wake up in complete discomfort, having just had a nightmare of skydiving and the parachute not opening and the instructor panicking. It ended in death, and I awoke up as we splatted on the ground. I sit up in bed, breathing heavily and feeling confused and uncomfortable. I decide to knock on John’s door. I know he will let me in.
