Chapter Forty-Three

We walk around between the restaurants and decide on eating some seafood, placing our orders and then staring into each other’s eyes.
“What’s your biggest fear in life?”
“Skydiving!” I say without hesitating.
He smiles. “I understand that one, but what is your biggest fear not related to skydiving?”
“I think it changes as you live life. Before meeting you, I had a fear of never finding the person who will make me as happy as I am with you today.”
“And after meeting me?”
“I fear losing you!”
We sit in silence for a couple of moments, and the server brings our food.
“I acknowledge your fear and I share it. I’m also afraid of losing you.”
Hearing those words brings a smile to my face and a feeling of contentment. Small words of affirmation mean a lot to me
