Chapter Forty-Five

The sun is up, and I wake up naturally, safe in John’s arms. He’s holding me, arms over my side, hand cupping my breast, legs folded in with mine. I love waking up like this.
Today is Scuba Day. I’m rather excited after listening to John talk about it. I know what scuba diving is, but I never thought about trying it.
I turn my body slightly toward him and he opens his eyes and gives me a kiss good morning. I smile, get up to brush my teeth, and turn the kettle on. John looks at me with a confused expression.
“And now that you are making the coffee?”
“I want to make it for you this morning!”
He smiles wide. “Thank you.”
