Chapter Forty-Eight
John
Lilah is babbling about the dive and asking a lot of questions about fish, what they eat, and what eats them. She is truly interested in this. She did look a little uncomfortable with swimming fully geared up with all that weight on her body, but in the water your weight becomes less, and your flexibility is a little different than on land, but overall she did well. I’m pleasantly surprised that she didn’t have another bad experience. I now have a new diving buddy, it would seem, although, when spending so much time with a person, it’s easy to start mirroring their actions, their habits, and making their passions and interests yours. I do wonder if she likes diving because I like it or if she likes it because she enjoys the experience.
