From the moment I was able to get my breathing rhythm and buoyancy to make the dive a comfortable experience, I started noticing everything around me. I’m grateful the diving instructor was holding onto my air tank; it gave me a feeling of comfort. After the dive, I notice that John is listening to everything I say, but his mind is somewhere else.
“How many dive sites are there here?”
“I’m not sure. I’ll have to ask the instructor.”
“How deep can you dive?”
“I can dive down to thirty meters, although I don’t think there’s such a deep site here.”
“How deep can I dive?”
“I think your limitations are ten or twelve meters.”
