There’s nothing more musical to my ears than the sound of that man’s voice. I can’t say I’m paying any attention to a word he’s saying, though my eyes are focused on his lips. For the first time, I see him in casual clothes, looking relaxed and fresh with a warm glow to his skin from days in the sun, and he looks yummy!
We cheer, and after a while John turns to talk to Daniel. I take a couple of steps forward and pull the girl away. I want to know who she is.
“How long have you known John?”
“Almost two weeks, how about you?”
“I’ve been working for him for almost three years now.”
“Wow, so you must really know him by now?”
“Yeah, I’d like to think so. Where did you two meet?”
“On a flight to HaiKou.”
