I do. Could I not have used any other words than “I do”? “Yes” would have been good, and “I think so” would have worked too, but an “I do”? It was an awkward moment, but somehow it had just slipped out.
I feel like we’re in a wonderland of some sort. Life is more colorful, and spending time with John gives me comfort. I’m anticipating he’ll make the first move eventually, but it’s so soon I’m nervous and excited at the same time. Going on a road trip with a complete stranger I met less than seventy-two hours ago is risky. It’s everything I’ve been taught not to do in my life—trusting strangers, but how can this feel so right? How can I feel like I belong with him so soon? I have more questions than answers now, but I hope wonderland doesn’t end!
