As the school day went, Erik sat with the girls at lunch. “Hey,” he said. Dylan starred into Erik’s green eyes with pleasure. “Can I sit here?” he asked motioning to the chair next to Dylan. “Sure,” Dru said, Dylan glared at her but said nothing, Dru on the hand smiled lightly. A girl named Katie Vasquez, walked up to the table and handed Dylan an envelope. Dylan looked at it, “What’s this?” Dylan asked her. Katie shrugged, “It was delivered to the main office a couple of minutes ago.” She turned and walked away from the table toward her friends. Dylan opened the letter and starred at the paper, there were weird letters on it, “What does it say?” Dylan jumped, she turned around quickly and starred at Bryan. He shrugged and smiled, “Sorry Dill,” He said laughing slightly. Isn’t Bryan just cute Dylan hearing her sisters voice in her head. Dylan turned and looked at her, Will you just ask him out already? Dylan thought back Or better yet, pull a Maria and just sleep with him. Dawn turned to look at her sister and she frowned. b***h, I know you did not just say that last part She thought back, starting to smile and giggle softly. Bryan doesn’t even know I exist Dawn sighted, “You okay, Dawne?” Tekoa asked, Dawn nodded and leaned against her arm. Well, my dear sister, I will let you in on a secret, Dylan thought to her sister and made eye contact with her. Bryan is in love with you and has been in love with you since freshman year. Dylan smiled as Dawn’s eyes got wider. Lair! Dawn thought to her sister and Dylan just shook her head. “Did you two not hear a word of what I said?” Erik asked, he looked from Dawn to Dylan, smiling lightly. They both shared a look and then shook their heads, no. “Who’s Castle? And why is he so important in helping you find someone?” Bryan asked, motioning toward the letter that was now in Erik’s hand. Dylan gave him a look of confusion. Well if you two hadn’t been engrossed in a telepathic conversation you would have noticed I took the letter from you. Erik thought to both the girls. Dawn blushed, and Dylan had to hold back a laugh. Please tell me that you two weren’t listening to everything that. Dawn thought to them. Bryan looked at her and smiled lightly, We’ll talk later, D. Promise. Was all they heard before the bell rang and everyone started moving toward their next class. Dru and Tekoa were the first ones to leave the table, to Dylan it seemed like the whole world was against her because Maria chose that moment to walk in with Dylan’s foster parents right behind her. Dylan looked at Dawn and then back to them. “There she is mom and dad, she made Erik break up with me. I told you we should have just gave both back years ago.” Maria said to them. Her foster parents looked at one another and then back at Dylan and Dawn with apologetic looks in their eyes. “How did Dylan make Erik break up with you? I thought you two broke up months ago?” their mom asked Maria, who just looked at her and then looked down at the floor. Don’t worry I’ll handle this. Erik thought to Dylan. She gave a slight nod and moved to her sister’s side. “Mr. and Mrs. Lawson,” Erik started, “Dylan in no way made me break up with Maria and you are right, we broke up months ago, but Maria just can’t let go. The reason Dylan got hurt today is because of Maria.” Erik said motioning for Dylan to move forward. “Maria are you just starting trouble?” Their foster father asked. She shook her head and tears welled up in her eyes. “Maria is just mad because I asked Dylan to go out with me later on tonight.” Dylan eyes widen, and she looked up at Erik What the hell do you think your doing? Dylan thought to him. He smiled lightly, from behind Dylan heard both Dawn and Bryan chuckling. She turned and glared at them both. “Really Maria, this is what all that is about?” their mom exclaimed, everyone could tell that she was getting mad. “No. I swear it’s not” Maria tried to calm her down with a plea, but nothing was working obviously. “Time to go home, Maria” their foster father said, grabbing her by her arm. They dragged Maria away, and she was complaining that everyone was being unfair the whole way. Dylan looked at Erik and smiled lightly, “Thank you for that,” she said. He nodded, but he didn’t walk away like Dylan thought he would. “I’m saying sorry now, Dill.” He said after a couple of minutes, She looked at him after she picked up her backpack, “Sorry for what?” she was confused for a second and looked at her sister, Dawn just shrugged. “For this.” Then he kissed her, for Dylan it wasn’t just any kiss, it was her first kiss and damn it was magical. It was one of those kisses that took you to the moon and beyond and never let you come back down. That is until the person pulls away. Dylan kept her eyes closed for a couple of seconds then opened them to find Erik looking right at her smirking, she blushed and looked around to see who had saw. Everyone saw, everyone who hadn’t left the cafeteria during Maria’s tantrum, had seen one of the coolest guys in school, kiss plain jane Dylan. Well, let the rumors start flying because before the day was over, it would be everywhere. “You know what that means right?” Erik asked her. She shook her head, “No, what does it mean?” He smiled and stepped closer to her, Dylan didn’t even realize that she had put space been them when she was looking around. He placed his hand on her cheek, “It means your mine, Dill and I am not going to let anyone separate us.” The words he said, made her heart flutter but that light flutter become an earthquake in a matter of seconds, She was afraid. Dylan never had a boyfriend before and her first boyfriend would be Erik freaking Anderson. Why is your heart about to explode? You’ve had a crush on this guy for how long now? Dawn thought to her sister. Dylan shook her head, she couldn’t talk, she couldn’t think. All that was in her head was running away. “What class do you have next?” She asked to no one in particular. Erik just happened to be the one she was looking at when she asked the question. “I have history with Monroe, in J hall” Dawn said. “Well, guess that means me and you will have some time to talk because that’s my next class too.” Bryan said. Dawn faced turned the color of a rose. “I have English with Turner, in H hall” Erik said. “I guess we’re walking to class together then, because that my next class.” Dylan said. Erik smiled and nodded. They said their goodbyes and headed in opposite directions. Somewhere on the way to class, Erik took Dylan’s hand and held it. She didn’t mind because his hand was warm, but the warm that comes from a demon instead of a human. That type of warm came from hell fire. Especially with Erik being, from one of the most powerful demon families, his hell fire was a lot hotter then most. “Promise me something, Dill” he asked as they stopped outside of their classroom. She looked up at him, confused for a second then she remembered. Erik was known as a player, all girls wanted him. So, they tended to get a little slutty when he was around, but it was especially bad when he had a girlfriend. Girls wanted to show him that they were better and that he needed to end it with his current girlfriend. She smiled up at him lightly. “I promise, don’t worry. I know what happens Every time you get a girlfriend.” She giggled. Letting go of his hand, Dylan walked into the room and took her seat in the front row, next to Jesse, another demon friend of hers who just happened to be part human. Erik walked in behind her and was about to take a seat next to her when some of his friends walked in and steered him toward the back of the room. “Was Erik really about to sit next you?” Jesse asked, and she nodded. “He pretty much asked me out during lunch and I said yeah.” Jesse just starred at her and laugh lightly. “Good luck to you,” She said. After a minute or so is when their teacher walked in and class started. “Did you hear about what’s happening in the Avalonia?” Jesse whispered to Dylan, she shook her head. “Someone’s kidnapping females’ demons, all around the age of fifteen.” Jesse said. Alice was fifteen, could her kidnapping be connected to those? But Alice wasn’t in Avalonia, she was in the human world. “Do they have any clues to who is doing it?” Dylan asked, and Jesse shook her head. “Actually, they do.” She said after a second. “Each place where a girl has gone missing there are mysterious burn spots.” Jesse shrugged. That was mysterious. Burn spots? Well looks like its time to take a trip to where her sister had gone missing. Maybe after school she and Dawn could try and get in touch with their aunt Rosa, who happened to be a seer. “Jeez, a lot happening lately.” Dylan said. Jesse nodded, “I’m glad my little sister is here with me and my mom, and not with my dad in Avalonia.” She said. Dylan tried to focus on what her teacher was saying after that, but she couldn’t help herself, she turned slightly in her chair and looked back where Erik was sitting with his friends, she didn’t know why it shocked her, but he was looking at her smiling. She blushed like a kid with their hand caught in a cookie jar and turned back around. She heard Jesse giggling next to her. “If you wanted to know if he was looking, you could’ve just asked.” Jesse laughed quietly. “Oh, just shut up.” Dylan said, embarrassed. Jesse just kept laughing. Erik on the other hand was talking to his friends in the back of them room, “Dude, is it true that you asked Dylan?” His buddy Tyler asked. Erik just starred at her back and then looked at him. “Yeah, it’s true” He smiled. It was the best decision he had made. He wanted to make it work with her and he wasn’t going to let anything stop him. As the son of Marcus Anderson, There were plenty of girls after him, but he didn’t want any of them. Erik has had his eyes on Dylan for years now, ever since they first met at the demon ball five years ago. Even though they weren’t introduced then, he had seen her from a distance. She was wearing a red dress, with black outlines. She was and still is the most beautiful person he has ever seen. “Dude, you know she’s just a plain Jane, right?” Tyler said, Erik looked at him and shook his head, Erik wasn’t about to let some human talk about her that way. “If you want to keep that mohawk of yours on your head, you’ll shut the f**k now?” He seethed. Today was not the day, let alone any day, to make fun of his Dylan. She was his world now, and he had to make her see the good, not what everyone else saw. “Sorry, man” He said to Erik. Tyler knew not to push him anymore, everyone did. Erik wasn’t the one who had a good temper. If you set him off, it took an army to clam him down. “So, Mr. Anderson, do you have an answer to my question?” Damn it he thought to himself. “The Fates are the followers of Hecate. They are witches who tell Macbeth of his fate.” Erik answered. Turner smiled and nodded, “Good Mr. Anderson, you got the answer right this time but maybe not next time. So how about we pay attention.” Turner said, Erik just nodded. He was glad the bell rang at that moment. “So, you coming to Chela’s party, tonight?” Tyler asked him. Erik shook his head, tonight he was going to spend with Dylan if he could. He didn’t know if she had any plans for the night, but he was going to find out. Dylan left the room with Jesse, talking about Macbeth and who they were going to pair up with for the final project. Erik came up behind her and wrapped his arm around her waist, kissing her neck softly. “Hey, what are you doing tonight?” he asked her. Dylan giggled and shrugged leaning into him. “Do you want to go out tonight?” He asked, turning Dylan around to face him. Before she could answer, he placed a kiss on her lips, he started out slow and gradually got a little more heated with his kiss. Dylan soon fell into a rhythm kissing him, even though she knew she was in front of people and in the hall way at school, the feeling of Erik’s arms on her sides and her hands on his chest. “Get a room,” Someone yelled from behind them, Dylan jumped and tried to move away from Erik, but he held her close. It’s just Dawn and Bryan, little one. Erik thought to her, she smiled lightly, only slightly embarrassed about her public display of affection. Dawn laughed, and Bryan patted Erik on the back. Erik smiled at his child hood friend and noticed that him and Dawn were holding hands. “So, when did that happen?” he asked motioning to their hands. Dawn blushed and looked at her sister. “Last period, we were paired up for a class project and we talked about what was said at lunch. By the way Dill, that is the last time I till you anything.” Bryan said. Dylan laughed and laid her head back on Erik’s chest. They all talked for a few minutes then the guys walked the girls to their classes. “I’ll see you after school, Okay?” Erik told Dylan. She nodded and headed into her math class. This is going to be a great day.
