Chapter 3

“You jerk!” “Let me go!” I yelled, running towards the silver bars again. immediately repelled by it, saying, “Quit trying to escape; it’s futile”, He walks further into the light, making his presence clear. “ Even for you.” Such temerity—he wouldn’t dare say those words if I weren’t confined to this thing ! , “I will rip that smirk off your face, I promise you”, I voiced in rage, pressing my hands against the burning metal. It burns, but each second seeing them smile hurts even more.Their cackles perished as the bars began to bend. My blood trails down the metal, making burning noises along the way. As the smoky stench of burning skin rode the air I could see how amazed they were just looking at me pulling the bars apart. I learned a lot of things, but mostly tolerance, even for silver. “ Well guess who surprised us again”, he asked, walking closer and staring directly into my eyes, “ can you manage electricity too?”. A menacing smirk crawled and stretched as he glanced at my bruised hands. He then immediately, snapping his fingers, one of the subordinates gave him a box, with a button. Attached to it, while the other stepped out of the room, and then there were three men, patiently waiting for my downfall. Determined to free myself, I pulled even harder, just to be blasted by a quick shock. It felt as though a spiral needle was traced down my body in mere seconds, my head hitting the other end of the cage, sending me straight to the ground as everything felt blurry for a second or more. ••• The sudden splash on my face had me gasping for air as I stood on the cold floor, a sense of reverie flirted with my mind. Just looking around, one of his subordinates stood close to the cage, holding a pail of water.I snarled at him, and he reciprocated with a menacing smirk, “ guess_”, the door bashed open, pulling everyone's attention to the frantic man standing at the door side, he motioned for their leader to come, which he did. Why their chatter endlessly I surfed for a way out, but the bars I had bent earlier had been sealed, my heart dropped just seeing that. Looking down at my hands, the bruises still lingered, as did the dried blood clotting the surface of my palm. It aches. Frustration and anger tugs my heart; this is most definitely not what I planned my day to be, Jarvald had swayed me by my emotions just to get me tortured by these low life wolves, who wouldn’t stand a battle with me, yet had the impetus to electrocute me.I imagine them begging for mercy, right before I rip their limbs out, one after the other, while Javald watches with no say whatsoever. Once more, I get splashed, which infuriates me, and I shift immediately .My wolf slams against the bars, pushing the cage forward. With each jam I bruised my wolf but bend the bars, the progress in seconds was more than my hand did before I blacked it,a few more hits and I would be out for good. I see their feet hasten up, “She’s going crazy!” “Tame her.” The next collision with the bar had me staring at the roof, twice electrocuted, I see no further than my head as the room twirls dramatically, I did not kill Morgan. I don’t deserve this it’s my life I should be given a say in this.“I want to see the alpha” I demand, standing up to my feet , I got rid of every trace of agony slipping down my eye , in response, they burst out laughing, “ The alpha doesn't want to see you alive”. My world plummets. “Why?” “You killed his mate, remember?!.” Everyone had the same memory, like a disease eating up their memory, I am equally hurt as everyone who had her in her life, but overnight painted as the victim, standing on my knees, I tear the hem of my gown, wrapping it around my bleeding fist, then around my torso, I can’t afford to lose more blood. If no one believes me, I will prove it to them. Back to spreading the bars, all were doubled crossed and thick, which resulted in me adding more pressure, “ seems our princess outgrew electricity; how about fire?” He passes a minatory smirk at him, before calling on his crew. While they fused fuel in the cage, I made my way with two broken bars, like fire roasting its way through my already bleeding palm. It began to feel hopeless as tears found their way down once more, my strength slowly depleted, just like the light in the room, as I lost more blood. It can’t end like this; the room slowly darkens and so does my sense of cautiousness. I stagger backward, losing my stance. I fall to the floor, the world slows down, and for a second, it felt as though I have just been placed in a cooling furnace.I see smoke everywhere, before my eyes finally give in, trailing through memory lane, images of Jarvald flashes in my mind, the first time we first met, when Lord Oscar thought he might be a suitable match for me.Javald demonstrated his proficiency each time he swung his sword, I couldn’t cause a dent in him. His tranquility left me on the verge of confusion, no one ever fought with me, and he came out as spotless as he did. The fight ended with my back against the floor and the pointy edge of his sword against my neck. From that very day, I wanted him not only as a personal trainer but as a life partner; we would be unstoppable. He never reciprocated that; didn’t I cross his mind after that fight?, I tried pulling his attention on several occasions but he never noticed, up until now, when everything had gone wrong, he finally noticed me, just to torture me. A sudden wave of cold, and wetness pulls me out off slumber immediately. “ Wake up, princess; you have a hero here to save you.”
