“Did you write that down Benjamin?” his great-grandfather asked.
“Yes Saba but I don’t understand why you want it written this way.”
“We are writing it this way because we are writing to Gentiles who don’t have an understanding of our ways,” John sighed. “And before you ask yet another question, we are writing it this way because since the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God in Judea virtually stopped. The fellowship of the Way fled and scattered.”
His mind going off at a tangent, Benjamin thought of his friend Stephen’s betrothal to a descendant of those who had scattered, and then he noticed that John was still talking. Concentrating, he pulled his wandering thoughts back.
