Chapter TenBy the end of the Feast of Tabernacles, the members of the fellowship of the Way in Smyrna were much uplifted. The overseer, two newly created deacons and the newly created elder, Polycarp, were reluctant to finish. The eighth day Holy Day Sabbath, prefiguring the White Throne judgement had been a fitting end after the seven-day Feast. For a short time, it had seemed like they were in the Kingdom of God. It was hard to consider that the next day they would be back in the world facing all the pressures they had been glad to leave behind. All stood together as Bucolus thanked God for His protection during the Festival and prayed for the assembled people, blessed them and dismissed them.
