“I am so pleased you are here with me,” Mark confided in Polycarp on the weary walk home after a difficult time with a woman who claimed to have received ‘a word from the Lord’. It had been exhausting trying to explain to the people gathered with her, that her ‘word’ did not match the already revealed word of God. “You are leading people astray,” Mark had accused. “I speak in the name of the son of god.” “Apollo?” “He is the son of the god Zeus.” “He is not the Son of the Most High God.” “He is Sol, the radiant one!
