Colton’s POV
The minute I got back to the Sheriff’s Office, I put in for a half day off on Monday. I knew that Emma had to get everything ready at the bakery, so I took off from noon to six. I will clock in early that day to make sure that I catch up on my paperwork and deal with what needs to be handled. I’m also including my lunch hour in that time, so I wasn't missing time from work.
My mind stayed on Emma. I worried about her not having proof to show the courts about how malicious Noel is and the clear threat against her. Noel won’t stop, not until she takes everything away from Emma. She’s already taken her father and fiancé, why won’t she just leave her alone? Emma has support here. I would go as an eyewitness and show my body-cam video to show that the threat is real.
