Noel’s POV
The Next Day:
Dad has been on the warpath for almost a month now. The company was doing better than ever before, but he was furious. Andrea had humiliated him again. She helped the new CEO, and it seemed like they were working hand in hand to destroy Dad’s reputation. It was clear that changing the company's name had hurt Dad the most. It used to be his company, and now, with their last name on the company, it has shot into the stratosphere. It was unacceptable.
Since the day they fired Dad as CEO, our life has collapsed. He tightened up our finances two days later. He was angry all the time now, acting as if this was all Mom’s and my fault. Mom might have suggested sending Brett after Emma, but he agreed. We wanted it done to hurt Emma and, by extension, Andrea.
