Emma’s POV
Colton was at work until well past his shift. He called me when he got off, and apologized for not getting to see me today. He told me he would take an extra hour at lunch tomorrow because he was two hours late getting out of work tonight. He was tired, but he sounded relieved that this part of it was over. I knew he was worried about what Kimberly was about to do.
“See you tomorrow, Babe. I missed you all day,” Colton told me.
“See you tomorrow,” I replied. I didn’t invite him over because we both need rest, and he wouldn’t want to leave if he came over. I was fine with waiting until tomorrow to get to see him.
