Colton’s POV
The following Friday:
I was glad that things were back to normal at work. I used to hate that we didn’t have more exciting problems or crime in Jasper Falls. I was cocky and thought that we were somehow lacking because bad things really didn’t happen here. I learned quickly that I need to be careful about what I wish for after my sister-in-law, Parker, returned to Jasper Falls to hide from her former husband. We handled things very well, but it took several agencies in the end in order to catch Nolan. I’m very happy everything has settled down again.
