“Actually, that checks out, Noel. Your mother also slept with a man that she knew was taken. It makes sense that her daughter would follow along in her footsteps,” I replied, knowing that it would set her off.
It was killing Noel that I hadn’t broken down and started crying over losing him. She wanted to lord taking him away from me, but she can have him.
