Emma’s POV
“We still have some of today's cupcakes left. Emma will not sell an old cupcake. She makes them fresh every morning. They will just be thrown away if the girls don’t want to take them home with them,” my mother added.
Now that surprised me. My mother is a great judge of character. If she was telling him that, it meant she was happy to come over tonight. I don't know whether it was because she was trying to set us up or because she was looking forward to meeting her neighbors. Mom isn't one to speak unless she has something to say.
