Colton’s POV
I was glad when Brett turned to leave. His stopping to demand his ring back was a surprise. I thought he would at least wait to see what Noel did next before asking for it back. Clearly, Andrea’s words and the pictures in her phone had gotten to him.
Noel was coming unhinged; she refused to accept that Emma was happy. The vile words that she had spoken to Emma earlier had shown Brett a different side of Noel. I had been watching his face. He didn’t know that this was the real Noel.
Wade almost made me laugh, pretending to be innocent. We have dealt with thousands of people over the years. Wade knew, as I did, that you don’t stop the video until they are off the property on trespass. I don’t know if he had actually stopped it or just said he did to mess with her
