“DON’T WORRY; REGGIE and I will be fine. I’ll lock the takings in the safe at the end of the day tomorrow; you just do what you have to do.” Sara gave a tablecloth one last wipe, as Lyn pulled the blinds down and locked the door.
“I’ve got to head into town now and find something black to wear.”
“Do you think he’s doing all this to win your sympathy and get you to go back to him?”
Lyn remembered how close Neil had been to his father, and shook her head.
“No; he’s genuinely upset I can tell, as well as being full of remorse and guilt about going off with somebody else. By the way, Peter phoned last night and asked me the same question.” She gave a little chuckle. “I told him not to fret, and that he couldn’t get rid of me that easily.”
